I am happy to note that the Smithsonian Channel will air its award-winning documentary, “Space Shuttle: Final Countdown.” I helped with this documentary, and was also interviewed for it. If you do not currently receive the channel, please check here to see if your local cable provider offers it. For additional airdates and times, please visit the Smithsonian Channel’s website here.
It will air on Saturday, December 22, 2013, at 9 PM EST. My colleague, Valerie Neal, is the featured interviewee. This documentary focuses on a discussion of the history of Space Shuttle operations. Spanning 30 years, and 21,152 orbits around Earth, the shuttle has experienced unparalleled highs and lows. This film won the CINE Golden Eagle Award. You may view the documentary’s trailer here.
